It’s been a steady season for the Purple Army so far, with our first season in football and two decent wins has buoyed the side up. Expectations for the club weren’t massive in our first competitive fixture but the performances have been encouraging, and we can only see improvements on the horizon.

Our standout moment of the season had to be our 7-1 win against Abertillery AFC, with Jamie Ridgeway (nicknamed Akinfenwa) scoring two competitive goals. He is a machine, such a funny guy, even he could believe he scored! Great performance though!

The biggest performance had to be the 4-0 win against Springfield United, against an experienced side that have been in the North Gwent Sunday Premier League for many years and us on just starting out was a massive moment and will forever be remembered. Dimitri Antypas won man of the match that day and it was very well deserved.
